The Basics of Copyright

The University community interacts with copyright in a variety of ways. Presented via Zoom, this workshop will provide an overview of copyright legislation, fair use and open licensing.
- The laws that form U.S. copyright
- How to identify materials that are no longer under copyright
- The elements of the fair use exception
- The basics of open access licensing

Applying Fair Use in the Classroom
